Become a Safe Home...

SAFE HOMES is a directory and a pledge. Safe Homes is meant to raise awareness, encourage communication and foster a sense of responsibility in both parents and teens. The signing of this pledge does not change your legal responsibilities, rather it is meant to show your commitment to keeping all our children safe. The pledge addresses concerns about the role of parents/guardians in preventing alcohol and drug use by young people. The directory lists the names, addresses, telephone numbers of others who have signed the SAFE HOMES pledge. The goal is to acknowledge and encourage young people to have fun at gatherings where they can learn valuable social and friendship skills, but more importantly that they be safe and return home safely. It is hoped that by parents/guardians signing the pledge and having the directory, communication among parents/guardians will be facilitated and made easier concerning these topics.

For Roseau County parents of 6-12 graders.
By Joining the Safe Homes Directory you:

• agree to not give youth access to alcohol in your home.
• will be able to network with other parents who wish to keep their son/daughter alcohol & drug free.
• will know your son/daughter will not have access to alcohol at other homes in the directory.
• will create a safe and alcohol & drug free environment for your son/daughter.

Safe Homes Directory will be published annually and will be mailed to you.
